Patriotic Music at the studio
Patriotic music at the studio
The Drew Robertson Music Studio is a small independent business representing many current, reserve, and retired military families. Out of respect for those who serve, to inspire the next generation of patriotic Americans, and to celebrate our unique musical culture, we are committed to learning a wide range of these historical pieces. Our patriotic set includes the National Anthem, numerous revolutionary war and civil war-era songs, and the armed forces marches for each branch of the military. We believe it is an essential part of musical education to learn American patriotic music, and to teach the next generation to recognize the incredible commitment and sacrifices of our founders and servicemembers.

Where do you perform Patriotic Music?
The primary performance opportunity for students is to perform patriotic music for veterans at Honor Flight events at Dulles and Reagan International Airports. To date, the students have performed for thousands of veterans at many Honor Flight events. In addition, we perform our patriotic music selections for community events, farmers’ markets, and at the request of organizations seeking to honor our veterans.
What is Honor Flight?
The Honor Flight Network flies veterans from all over the country to visit THEIR memorials in Washington DC free of charge. Our greatest need is greeters at the airport. Many of us assume that our veterans had a warm welcome when they arrived home and in most cases, that was just not true. Many veterans have told us that they didn’t receive ANY welcome home, and thought they were forgotten. Our basic role is to meet, greet, and welcome with as much pomp and circumstance as we can muster. We dress up, play patriotic music, and thank them for their service.
